We had a chance to sit down with the team at Goofy Foot Surf School to talk about surfing. What drives one of the most renowned surf school’s in Hawaii and how the Victory Koredry line is the perfect fit for the instructors and most importantly their students. Goofy Foot was established in Lahaina, Maui in April 1995 by owner/ instructor Tim Sherer to perpetuate his relationship with Mother Ocean and to teach the ancient Hawaiian sport of surfing. They are dedicated to providing professional surfing lessons to all levels of aspiring students in the spirit of fun and learning. They are committed to facilitating the highest level of experience for their guests with a focus on teaching safety, ocean awareness and surfing fundamentals.
In the beginning Goofy foot was run solely by Tim with an answering service, a pager, five soft long boards and a surf van that he also called home. Since that time they’ve had the privilege to introduce approximately 75,000 students to the awesome experience of surfing. The demand now is for Stand Up Paddling therefore, Goofy Foot has introduced SUP lessons. Goofy Foot Surf School instructors provide patient, professional instruction, excellent equipment, and the best waves possible for learning. Plus they love what they do! So with Goofy Foot wanting to give the best equipment it was very clear why Goofy Foot came to Victory. Monica Rose is one of the buyers at Goofy Foot. She loves to share how well the Koredry line is working for them and their students. Goofy Foot serves so many students that they need something that is very durable and comfortable. She has all the instructors uniformed in the Koredry Lycra, which is our tight fit rashguard. She explains that after a ton of usage the rashies seams stay solid and the students always comment on how comfortable they are. Because of KoreDry’s unique water repelling technology, the students stay much warmer, definitely warmer than the average rashguard. Monica loves the variety in the Koredry line. She personally has one of the Victory spring suits for when it gets a little cooler, but says wearing one of our loose fit or tight fit surf shirt rashguards works just. After talking to Goofy Foot Surf School I was very excited to hear how much they loved the Koredry Line. Raving about the warmth, comfort, and the technology of Koredry is great to hear. I hear it all the time, but when someone as large as Goofy Foot, who prides themselves with their service and equipment they use say it, it really makes me understand that we are right were we wanna be… Hands down, the best in the market.
